PIND holds Inauguration and Capacity Strengthening of Stakeholders to prevent Boundary Conflicts in Cross River State.
Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta, founders of Partners for Peace (P4P), through a network and grassroots approach to peace building, create a stable, enabling and conducive environment for the Niger Delta region's economic growth and development recently held a Capacity Strengthening workshop for stakeholders in the boundary and conflict resolution of warring communities in Cross River State.
Delivering a goodwill message at the workshop, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Surv. Gertrude Nnanjar Njar,appealed for the engagement of registered Surveyors in collaboration with the office of the Surveyor General and the State Boundary Commission to carry out Boundary Demarcation and Surveys and advised that update on existing boundaries be carried out regularly for future references as this will help stop or even bring to an end Community clashes within the Niger Delta region. She advised the Chiefs and leaders of those communities to include the women and youths as part of Conflict prevention and responds,hold regular town hall meetings to preach peace and harmony amongst families while extending the message to the larger community.
PIND Foundation have been promoting peace and equitable economic growth in Nigeria's Niger Delta region through multi- stakeholder partnership and also work closely with numerous partners to implement collaborative market- based, Community-owned Programs to mitigate conflicts and boost economic opportunities for local businesses.
